Around the middle of October, we took Miller to Disney World for the first time. This was his birthday gift from us and we have been looking forward to it since we told him in August!
This was his second plane ride, but he was too little to remember when he flew the first time so he was pretty excited! Ready to fly out bright and early!
On the bus entering Disney World!
Once we got to the Contemporary, we had lunch and spent the afternoon in the pool while we waited on our room to be ready and our luggage to be delivered.
Miller loved the waterslide!
After that it was time for dinner and our first Monorail ride!
We really just rode the Monorail for fun, because my stepbrother, Chris, and his wife, Katie, were driving over to pick us up for dinner. We met them at the Grand Floridian.
Miller was out cold by the time we got to Cape May Cafe.
After a while he perked up though and loved drawing on the table.
Telling us about his picture of the Monorail :)
First round of "Happy Birthday" in Disney!
After dinner, we went back to meet the rest of the family that drove over. Gran was in heaven with all of her grand-kids (minus Jacob) in one place.
The next day we were up and ready for our first day in Magic Kingdom!
Buzz Lightyear was our first ride of the trip...
and the first character we met too!
Riding the race cars with sweet Ty
Gran and Mia
Miller didn't know who Stitch was, but wanted to meet him anyway.
Barnstormer!
Ty, Mia, and Ella
Waiting to ride Winnie the Pooh
Miller LOVED Daisy! Especially when we met her at Animal Kingdom. (More on that later!)
Back: John and his two sons, Jay and Chris, Bryant
Middle: Gran, Me, Goofy ;), Katie, Amy
Front: Mia, Miller, Ella Ty
Miller's favorite ride of the trip, Splash Mountain! I think we rode it about six times.
I look terrified, but mostly I just didn't want to get wet, haha!
He was pretty excited to meet Woody and Jessie.
After a busy day he passed out on the way home!
After a late afternoon nap, we had dinner at The Wave in our hotel and a birthday cake for Miller, Ty and Mia. Chris, Katie, and Ella had to go home that afternoon for school/work on Monday.
Whew! So that's just the first two days of our trip! I'll be back soon with the rest of our trip!
What wonderful times and fabulous memories!! So lucky to be fortunate to spend time together. Pop and Gran are blessed indeed! Love to all.
