Happy Independence Day! We just returned from a long weekend on Lake Martin. As always, it was so much fun and relaxing. For the first time, Miller loved the water. He really couldn't get enough of it. It actually gave me a little hope that we can work on swimming some this summer.
Miller loved the big float this time too, especially the slide.
I was so glad to see that he didn't mind going under. He probably swallowed ten gallons of lake water though. We'll have to work on closing his mouth and eyes when he goes under.
I'm sure the play-by-play picture roll is enough for most of you, but we did get a pretty cute video of him sliding and "swimming" too. I love how much he's talking now!
We had one storm on Sunday afternoon, so we had to play inside for a little after Miller's nap. La La and Brad helped provide some fun accessories entertainment.
It was such a wonderful weekend and all of the fun reminded me of the freedoms we enjoy in the good ole USA. I for one am extremely thankful. I hope you all had a blessed 4th as well!
Once again, what a wonderful weekend. It is amazing at how fast Miller changes! He LOVED the lake this visit and seemed very comfortable in the water and on the boat. He has great "sea legs" and got lots of practice with all the WAVES. So much fun to go out searching for geese, "owange" balls and airplanes. Miller is such a happy boy, though he did not care much for the spraying whale in the new pool. Had a weekend full of "big splashes", "nooooodles", "slwide again", "oooone, twooo, threeee, splash" and trying to pet Abby and Lizza Jane without coming in contact with their loving nuzzles. Funny to watch how he changes with the dogs.
