When the Lights Go Out

While our power was out, Miller and I took a mini-vacation to Pop and Gran's house.  No sense sitting in the dark with cold showers and no way to cook.  While we were there we...
cooked a few "dot dogs",
made a new friend, Neola, who was visiting her grandmother too,
drove the boat,
{and obviously loved it},
did a little cleaning,
 and colored with Pop.

Mommy got to go meet Miss Molly Jones Northcutt...
and play with all four of the Northcutt girls {the fourth, Alyssa, had to play photographer}.

Miller cuddled with Daddy when he came for the weekend,

did a little more boat driving,
told everyone how old he is,
yelled, "Weeeee!" when we bounced over waves,
and... well we're not real sure what he was doing here.

Thanks for taking us in Pop and Gran {or as Miller calls you, "Gu-Gu"}!

  1. So glad we got a long visit with all of you. And thankful that Miller loves the boat this year, it will make for a fun summer. As summer arrives and more boats are out, Miller will have a blast with the waves, I can already hear the Wheee's and see his gorgeous, heart stopping smile. :)
As a good friend who is fairly new to grandparenthood said to me..... these grandbabies are a threat to ones' sanity. It is true, they are such a joy.
We are looking forward to having all our babies here this summer!
Thanks for blogging and recording our fabulous memories, it is a treasure and you do a wonderful job at it, I see writing in your future.
    Love you always and forever,
    Mom/Gran ( Gu Ga)
